Tinubu endorse ₦35,000 minimal wage for civil servants

President Bola Tinubu has formally endorse the sum of ₦35,000 minimum wage for all federal civil servants.
The endorsement was introduced in a circular issued with the aid of the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission (NSIWC) on Thursday.
The secular which was signed by NSIWC Chairman, Ekpo U. O, said that the salary award will take effect from Friday, September 1, 2023.
“I hereby convey the approval of the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for the furnish of a wage award, N35,000:00 (thirty-five thousand Naira) only in line per month to all Federal Government workers with impact from 1 September 2023 pending when a new national minimum wage is anticipated to have been signed into law,” it reads.
The round, which was addressed to numerous authorities officials, additionally said that the implementation of the wage award for treasury-funded federal government ministries, departments, and companies will be funded from the treasury.
