Church Hangout Went Gloomy As member drowns in Lagos Beach
A young man identified as John age 34-year-old was at the beach picnic organized by an Ikorodu based church for the youths.
After the picnic, whilst member were preparing to leave the beach, they noticed that John was missing.
Divers and lifeguards were alerted but all efforts to locate him in the water that Saturday proved abortive.
His body was recovered by lifeguards at the beach on Tuesday afternoon,
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident to the media.
The Superintendent of Police added,"The family of the victim has been contacted and the body of the victim has been taken to the General Hospital for an autopsy."
