Edo Catholic priest dies of high blood pressure 22 months after regaining freedom from kidnappers

A Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Peter Ebhota Udo, has reportedly died of hypertension 22 months after he regained freedom from kidnappers in Edo State.

Recall that Rev. Udo, the parish priest of St. Patrick's Catholic Church Uromi in Esan North East Local Government Area of the kingdom become kidnapped alongside Rev. Fr. Philemon Oboh of St. Joseph retreat centre, Ugboha, in July 2022.

The Priests have been rescued unharmed via safety operatives on July 6, 2022.

A Catholic Priest, Fr. Kay, who showed the sad information in a Facebook put up on Friday, October thirteen, 2023, stated Rev Udo survived two kidnappings.
“Dear Rev Fr Peter Udo, the Priest of Impossible Cases, I can't believe you are no more . Life is a thriller. Just yesterday, you needed me satisfied birthday as I sat typing my morning mirrored image,” he wrote.

"I had formerly questioned why you couldn't make it to my celebration. Unknown to us, you have been already suffering with pains. But it is nicely. You were a man of peace. A joy giver, a mild inside the dark, and a priest who poured out his entire existence for others.

An Iroko tree has fallen! But God is aware of excellent. You survived two kidnappings.

We love you, however God loves you extra. Keep resting within the Bosom of the Lord, till we meet to part no greater! Earth's loss is heaven's benefit. Udoooooo! Pray for us who are nevertheless here. At your Requiem Mass the day gone by, women and men of the CONCLAVE WEPT. In truth, Jesus wept too!
